Seven bovine erythrocyte antigen loci and three serum protein loci were tentatively assigned to chromosomes or synteny groups by linkage analysis to previously assigned microsatellite DNA markers. The erythrocyte antigen locus EAB was mapped to synteny group U27; EAC to chromosome 18, synteny group U9; EAL to chromosome 3, synteny group U6; EAS to chromosome 21, synteny group U4; EAZ to chromosome 10, synteny group U5; EAR' to chromosome 16, synteny group U1; and EAT' to chromosome 19, synteny group U21. A survey of the freshwater algal flora of the Primorsky Region, Russian Far East, is presented. During more than 70 years
of investigations 1659 species (including varieties and forms 2276 taxa) belonging to 346 genera of different groups of algae
have been recorded from this territory. The Primorsky Region is rich in habitats attractive to algae-rivers, lakes, reservoirs,
and ponds. The details of the distribution of algae in different types of waterbodies have been examined. The algal flora
of the region is comparable to the areas, and its taxonomical structure is typical for Eurasia. From this territory some new
species and varieties have been described — Achnanthes chankensis, Cymbella ventricosa var. hankensis, Surirella alisoviana, and others. The flora includes some rare species — Fragilaria magocsyi, Perone dimorpha, and Heterothrix monochloron, and some endemics of Asia — Navicula scutelloides var. baicalensis, N. globulifera var. nipponica, Gomphonema sphaerophorum, and Surirella tientsinensis. 相似文献

A recent meta-analysis from the Antiplatelet Trialists'' Collaboration recommended that antilatelet treatment either alone or, for greater effect, in addition to other proved forms of thromboprophylaxis should be considered for patients at high risk of thromboembolism. This paper argues that the current evidence does not justify the adoption of aspirin or other antiplatelet treatment for venous thromboprophylaxis, especially when more effective alternatives exist. Quantitative estimates of intracellular fluxes and measurements of intracellular concentrations were used to evaluate the effect of dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration on CRL 1606 hybridoma cells in batch culture. The estimates of intracellular fluxes were generated by combining material balances with measurements of extracellular metabolite rates of change. Experiments were performed at DO levels of 60% and 1% air saturation, as well as under oxygen-limited conditions. Cell extracts were analyzed to evaluate the effect of DO on the intracellular concentrations of the glutamate dehydrogenase reactants, as well as the redox state of the pyridine nucleotides in the cytosol and mitochondria. The relationship between cell density and pyridine nucleotide redox state was also investigated. Dissolved oxygen concentration had a significant effect on nitrogen metabolism and the flux through glutamate dehydrogenase was found to reverse at low DO, favoring glutamate formation. The NAD in the cytosol and mitochondria was more reduced under low DO conditions while the cytosolic NAD was more oxidized at low DO. Cytosolic NAD was reduced at higher cell densities while the redox states of cytosolic NADP and mitochondrial NAD did not exhibit significant variation with cell density. These results point to the fundamental role of the intracellular oxidation/reduction state in cell physiology and the possibility of controlling physiological processes through modulation of the dissolved oxygen level or the oxidation/reduction potential of the culture. 相似文献

A Gram-positive Rhodococcus erythropolis strain S1 was shown to assimilate aromatic amino acids such as L-phenylalanine, L-tyrosine, L-tryptophan, D-phenylalanine, D-tyrosine and D-tryptophan, which were utilized not only as the sole carbon source but also as a suitable nitrogen source. The highest growth on these aromatic amino acids occurred at a temperature of 30°C. L-Phenylalanine, L-tyrosine and L-tryptophan degradative pathways would appear to be independent, and to be induced alternatively.
